ZipVitals turns twenty-six public datasets into one clear, comparable health picture for every ZIP code in the United States — with the entire method published in the open.
What ZipVitals is
A per-ZIP health summary built from authoritative public data: a 0–100 ZipVitals Score across nine scoring domains, the figures behind it, and how each ZIP compares to others. One page per ZIP Code Tabulation Area, covering roughly 32,940 areas nationwide.
Transparency is the product
Most ranking sites hide their formula. ZipVitals publishes the whole recipe — every source, every weight, and every place the data stops — on the methodology page, so a skeptical statistician can follow the logic. What’s ours is the assembly and validation of public data into a coherent, comparable index; “proprietary” never means secret. The honest limits are published alongside the numbers, not buried.
Editorial integrity
ZipVitals carries no display advertising. The health content is editorial and stays that way — figures are descriptive of conditions, never a verdict on the people who live in a place.
How the Score is built, at a glance
Standardize every metric against the national distribution, cap outliers, combine into nine weighted domains, and rescale to 0–100. Where a ZIP is thinly measured, its confidence band widens rather than filling gaps with guesses.
